And here we are.
Another 4 weeks further along the path of greatness, folks. This was one hell of a training block, wasn’t it? Back squats, pull-ups, benchpress, good buddies. The 6/1 method. Team morale is at an all-time high. Team attendance is at an all-time high. You know what else was at an all-time high? The amount of Personal Records set by Allegiate members.
Personal-Freaking-Records! And from both ends of the PR spectrum. PR’s for our advanced lifters, with decades of training experience under their belts. Personal Records and baselines set from the Allegiate Neophytes of Strength. You get a PR! You get a PR! Call the Guinness Book of World Records because the PR per capita at Allegiate is stratospheric.
So where the hell do we go from here? Well, as we transition into Monday’s Accumulation block, let’s look to history for a clue.
In 1963, Simon and Garfunkel wrote a song called The Sound of Silence about the inability of people to communicate emotionally. As relevant today as it was then, the song’s opening stanza gets to the heart of our transition from the Yin of a PR packed Intensification Block to the Yang of Accumulation:
See you on the other side.
